In my line of work I spend many hours in front of my monitors.  Their positioning and adjustability becomes an important factor to my work.   Keeping that in mind I have been keeping my eyes open looking for what I can do to enhance my viewing experience without breaking the bank.

In my last LCD Mount Article I looked at a kit I bought off of Monoprice.com. It was a nice kit but it was missing a few features.   Moving forward I purchased another kit with adjustable arms.  After setting up the new Mount I was hit with a brilliant idea.  Why don’t I just combine the mounts together?  The picture below shows the results of this combination.

I actually have a very similar desk setup to yours so the idea of combining 2 of the kits together sounds like a great way to connect my 2 large desks. Do you think this combination would be sturdy enough to mount 3 30" LCDs ?

Thanks for the feedback. The top plate is about 6 inches the bottom plate is just under 3 inches. I have the same issue with one of my other desks. There is no room for the bottom part to grab the desk.

I like your write up here. I was wondering, do you know the dimensions of the mounting tongue? My desk has a limited amount of clearance on the back for the tongue to fit over. How deep is it? It looks like 2-3", but I can't really tell from your pics. Thank you!
