Things you will need:
Step One:
Buy a domain name. This option is under Domains –> Registrations. This is going to cost you $10. Please pick a good one that is easy to remember.
Step Two:
Setup wordpress blog. If you bought an accout with dreamhost this should be easy. Just log in and go to Goodies, then one-Click Installs. Be sure you Install in advanced mode so you can add your own plugins.
Step Three:
Buy and install shopp. That will set you back another $55. Here is a summary of how to set it up.
- Purchase a copy of Shopp at shopplugin.net
- Download the plugin file shopp.zip
- Unzip shopp.zip
- Upload the shopp/ directory to your (wordpress)/wp-content/plugins/ directory
- You may wish to override some predefined Shopp macros in your wp-config.php file.
- Login to your WordPress administration page and click Plugins
- Find the Shopp Plugin and click Activate. The Shopp menu will become available.
- Click on Shopp → Settings to begin setting up your new store.

Step Four:
Setup google checkout for your shopp cart. This will be your payment gateway. When people buy things from your site the money will show up in your bank account.
Step Five:
Find a skin you like and a product to sell and your are ready to make some money.
Tips / Warnings:
- Start off with something simple. Don’t shoot for the stars. Just sell one or two products and get your feet wet.
- This guide will be most effective for someone who already has a product and or client base. This guide does not address getting people to your site.
