One of my friends recently asked me what computer he should buy for his mom. It really depends what you are going to be using the computer for. Here is what I suggested:
Hey. I am glad you asked =D. Here is what I would do if I were in your place. I would stay away from taking stuff apart. Just buy something new from Dell.
Don’t upgrade anything in here and make sure when you go through it that you uncheck any software they try to bundle with the system. Buy the upgrades later from newegg or something. A Desktop, with a monitor and windows 7, for around $400 is a good deal.
