My first time coming to Shari’s office she had a pretty bad computer networking problem. They swapped out an older router with a newer one. This created many new issues. They had a server on the network with a static IP that was no longer talking to the rest of the network.
The router they bought was not a good fit for the network right from the get go. I went and purchased the right hardware and everything worked like a charm. Computer network repair is definitely not over-rated. I must have saved her brain from exploding.
Another project we worked on together was creating many fail safes for all her financial data. All of the data lives on a server that does a daily backup locally and remotely. We also have a live image of her workstation backing up weekly so that if her hard drive ever crashes or is destroyed we can just pop a new hard drive in and restore it from the live image.

This was an interesting project. You will never believe what I did with this client. Mary, co-owner of Rohnert Park Gymnastics, came to me with a bad hard drive that was clicking like crazy. She needed some data hard drive recovery. None of my computers would even recognize it when plugging it in via USB.
So what I did was pop the hard-drive in the freezer overnight. What this did was fix it for about 20 minutes. This gave me just enough time to get all the data she needed off of it. Talk about extreme data recovery services.
